What Can we Know?
THE TRIADIC NATURE OF KNOWLEDGE
Kant was struck by the fact that, when tabulated, his Categories exist in threes and moreover, that "the third Category always arises from a connection between the second and first of its class". He speculated that this might have considerable consequences regarding the scientific form of all theoretical knowledge. Such speculation found its full expression in Hegel, whose entire philosophy is conceived of in triads with the third element of each triad being a reconciliation of the two previous elements. This is Hegel's Theory of the Dialectic. In the same way that Kant's Categories represented how the individual mind works, this is a reflection of the structure of Absolute Mind, the structure of Reality.
